OUR MISSION

As students, having a third perspective into the world, we observe the issues in our community and synthesize how we want to change them. As members of the Jewish community, we strive to play a larger role by giving back to organizations that need our help as a fulfillment of one of our major values, Tzedakah (charity).

Often overlooked as a consequence of age, young people lack the necessary resources to drive their ideas. The Philanthropy Board attempts to empower students to make a change in their community by fundraising money to benefit selected organizations. Organizations are identified based on prevalent social issues, including mental health awareness for teenagers, special needs education, and support for young people in the LGBTQ+ community. The Philanthropy Board set a goal to fundraise $2,000, which will be kindly matched by Marks JCH. We ask for your help to raise money for this goal!
